In 2011-12 school year, the Clark County School District in Nevada identified three turnaround high schools -- campuses that have been singled out as needing extraordinary help because students have performed so poorly.
We followed the schools that year, through the struggles and the successes -- in the classrooms, in the principals’ offices, on the athletic fields, on the performance stages and among parents to give the public a view inside our most troubled schools, better understand the challenge of improving them and report what seems to work and what doesn’t.
